Inspiration for this design came from the large, chunky appliqué shapes combined with the simple block piecing of traditional 4-block quilts from centuries past.
These simple pieced baskets, each one framed with its own sawtooth border, are finished off with some fun flower & leaf shapes that resemble dandelions. The large appliqué shapes come together in no time at all using the starch method of appliqué. Pattern for this 64 1/2" x 64 1/2" quilt includes tips on simple piecing settings, sawtooth blocks and appliqué.
